Solar Dynamics LLC
Gauge public opinion of concentrated solar power technology to better inform future development and community engagement.
In order to understand public opinion about CSP technology, we conducted one-on-one interviews, issued detailed online and paper surveys, and had numerous conversations with residents. The intent was to gather both the opinions of those who live and work near a plant, as well as those in communities where plants could be potentially developed. We learned quickly about their concerns and positive opinions, and we listened (and listened) to learn what was important to the community and how we could learn from the residents’ experience.

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center
Gather opinions and ideas from community members, healthcare providers, and business owners/employers in order to draft the 2019 Community Health Needs Assessment.
Every two years, non-profit hospitals and healthcare systems are required by the IRS to conduct a Community Healthcare Needs Assessment to guide the hospital in their efforts to improve the health in the community where they are located. The team sent a survey to residents and business owners at large, did research using data from the local health department, and interviewed local non-profits and large employers to best assess the health needs of the community. This information was used to draft a comprehensive action plan for the following two years.
Abengoa Solar
Community benefit program development, host community in-person town-halls, and tribal engagement exploration for a multinational solar developer.
While leading the Corporate Social Responsibility and Communications team for Abengoa Solar, I assisted the community benefit projects in the U.S., South Africa and Spain. Efforts ranging from supporting local organizations and schools per regulatory guidelines, to exploring the partnership with local universities and organizations to bring educational activities to tribal communities.
